                  MEET ROBERT

Robert E. Smith Jr. is a proud husband, father, grandfather and a lifelong resident of East Side of Allentown dedicated to serving his community.

Robert’s dedication to public service spans decades. He served 16 years on the Allentown School Board, including five terms as President, where he focused on strengthening educational opportunities for students and supporting teachers and families. He also served as an Allentown City Councilman, working to address the needs of residents and improve the community. In Addition, he served as Vice Chairman of the Human Relations Commission, promoting fairness and equal opportunity. Robert was a member of the LCTI Joint Operating Committee, helping support technical education and workforce development for young students.

Professionally, Robert serves as a program specialist working with veterans and individuals with brain injuries, helping connect people to resources and support systems to improve their quality of life. His work reflects his deep commitment to standing up for those who have served our country and those facing serious challenges. Beyond his professional and public service roles, Robert deeply engages in his community and faith. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and Kiwanis Northeast and serves as a lector at Our Lady Help of Christians, reflecting his commitment to service, fellowship and giving back.
